Nut trees from Vyrmantas
Various walnuts, carya, almonds, chestnuts, hazelnuts and other exotic plants from Vyrmantas collection
Our advantages
Cold-resistant cultivars
The collection contains the most cold-resistant varieties from around the world and they have been tested under our conditions (Climate Zone 4). There are also plants that, along with highly cold-resistant root stocks, can ripen nuts in Climate Zone 3.
Grafted nut trees
We sell only grafted nut trees that will inherit 100% of the properties of the mother plants. Plants are grafted and grown in Lithuania (Climate Zone 4). Nut trees ripens 3-5 years after planting. Walnut trees are grafted indoors in December-April.
Who are we?
Vyrmantas Radzevičius from Kaunas has been collecting and propagating various nut ripening plants, for over 50 years. Plants have been verified not only in Lithuania, but also in Latvia and Finland.
Our nut trees
Walnuts
We grow over 200 varieties of walnut trees, which grow in Lithuania without any problems, yield well and ripen delicious nuts.
Heartnuts
We grow and propagate about 30 varieties of heartnut trees that are resistant not only to the cold of Lithuania, but also Finland, when grafted into the mandshurian root stock.
Black walnuts
We grow and propagate about 10 varieties of black walnut trees. Most of them are the result of the work of U.S. and Canadian breeders. Native to North America, black walnuts are highly resistant to frost, growing up to climate zone 3.
